CATS TALES - a new CD by Brass Band Buizingen

Here are ten good reasons to look more closely:

Three newly-recorded Brass Band works from the period 1980–2008.

A four-movement symphony from Philip Sparke in tribute to the city of Pittsburgh, USA.
A ‘Homage to the Noble Grape’ from Goff Richards, celebrating his love of wine and originally composed for London Brass.
In addition the premier recording of Peter Graham’s latest work, ‘Cats Tales’ which, besides giving the CD its title, is an ode to five jazz ‘cats’ of New York City.

For good balance there are three shorter works of the Salvation Army repertoire, two from the pen of Kenneth Downie and one from Leslie Condon.

One world-premier recording of the Cornet Concerto by Johan Evenpoel, performed by Roger Webster, and the highly-regarded qualities of three of our Dutch neighbours: Recording company Mirasound (Ge Voskuylen), Jelke Haisma for mixing and editing and Gerard Klaucke for the artwork.
