AD OPTIMUM
The band members and conductor of Brass Band Buizingen created a new CD during two weekends of recording in May and June 2004, together with soprano cornet Peter Roberts. The on their own produced record, is named 'Ad Optimum', linking this CD to the first full CD Buizingen ever recorded: 'The Dawing', which was also called after a piece by the Scottish composer Peter Graham.
Why should you buy this CD? One of the trump cards certainly is the excellent choice of music. Or what to think of a well-balanced concert program like this one? Most pieces are published on CD for the first time, and are accompanied by the revelation of the Belgian Brass Band Championship 2003: 'Ginnungagap
seeming emptiness' by the Flemish composer Johan Evenepoel. On top of that, you get four solo pieces with Peter Roberts, again proving his reputation 'The Legend' to be nothing but true.
The CD costs 20 euro plus charges. You can order here.
